To Know A Story

Stories resonate with all that we are, wrestle with it even. Illuminating the existential truth that resides within and echoing a sense more real than we may be able to fully articulate. In them, we are given the opportunity to make greater sense of ourselves and surrounding world. Through which we can move our lives forward, toward something more than what they’ve been, and all they were ever meant to be. 

I have always been of awe of the beautiful stories told through film. There are moments of what I can only describe existential when such moving narratives envelop my being, and I find myself making greater sense of this life, guided by feelings and disparate thoughts longing to be made whole. An infinity known and unknown in my heart all the same, a quiet awakening to eternity. From these countless moments and all in between, I developed some semblance of who I am and a listening ear to what we can be.

As a Believer, I have come to know the nature of being is not from the directives of society. Rather, listening to the divine therein. In each and every reflection are the seedings of this faith; sequentially progressing through the unfolding of a movie. With a pursuit of seeking, a guiding of the Spirit, and a heart of faith. 

For no reason are we to venture this walk alone. Through the wondrous landscape of cinema, I bring to share of this life, what speaks to me.
