The Fall in Going The Distance
To what passion do we hold our victory? Of what do we allow ourselves of defeat? The allure of triumph is stranger to none, yet known to only a few; to which the thinkings are simple, and the fight worth every hit. There is no walkout that readies, or high that measures, to that which amounts to far greater than what you could have prepared for. Take enough shots, forge enough battles, sprawl enough pain, then you too can know what it means to be a smashing machine.
What is to take down the one who fights to live?
Prefer to listen? Hear my reading of the reflection aloud.
The Smashing Machine is a knockout showing that rings to the balance of vigor and tragic resolve. A telling of a life championed, with wonderings of a tank half empty or half full. Seeing the journey of a pioneer, and ever so vividly a man, driven to dreams at a cost; culminating to the makings of a smash hit.
Themes. Thoughts. Reflections.
Slapped Around By Your Emotions
This Guy Is The Best He Has Ever Seen. What is it that you see when you are at the best you can ever be?
You Can See It In Their Eyes. You Can Smell It In Their Sweat. A telling of their flesh, therein lies such depth. Of death to death, of life to life; let the discerning know these things.
The Best Feeling There Is. That in which we long for, yet really what might that be? Those of good in heart, very well know what to perceive.
Do You Hate Each Other When You Fight? To wrestle with that, that stands against you. No hatred should there be with one another when far greater is the aim.
Imma Get It Wrong If You Don’t Tell Me These Things. Needs and wants. Who you are, and are meant to be. A sharing that must be had. Let them see these things, let them know. Do not soil their bid. Do this in memory of He.
You Have a Good Eye. See that which has been broken, made perfect. A new creation.
You Asked Me To Come…I’m Trying To Focus. A contrary desire, by way of how we have fallen.
A Monumental Battle. This lies ahead for the broken hearted, and is needed for those crushed in spirit. For the journey is long, yet He is near.
I Didn’t Lose. Because when we do, it’s the battle we face within ourselves.
You Can’t Keep Doing This To Yourself
Just Be There For Him. Okay? The best that we can do for them. In supplication you labor for them.
You Want To Hold My Hand? Okay. Pass on no bitterness. Live with understanding. Honor them and share what you have both been given – the grace of life. Hinder not your prayers by way of what you hinder in them.
A Day Without Pain Is A Day Without Sunshine. Present sufferings are to be had, but in no way amounts to that which awaits us. Do not be discouraged, we are given rest.
I Just Need to Get Through This Moment. When the pain you feel constrains your being to exactly where you are, when all you know is only this.
You Don’t Even Hide It From Me Anymore. The vice has gone overhead, its presence burdensome. The offering of anguish when far too heavy, to be bore reclused.
I Just Need You To Treat Me Like A Man. Asking for what you had never known to begin with. For it does not force its way, it endures all things. As this has been shown among us – be watchful, stand firm, take act.
I Don’t Want To Die. One knows death by sin, and in its power is law. As we commit we know no life, how is it we must prevail?
It’s Got To Start With You. Be of conscious, come to make your paths straight. Trust with all your heart, diligently seek.
Full Speed Ahead. A will to be done, a hope to be had. Onward you go full speed ahead.
High Horse. Do not see the passing good of self and bring judgment unto others. For are they not the same as you, with even a single measure of sin? Neither sow discord. The pride of heart is hated. Blessed are the merciful.
Not The Fighter You Thought I Was. When belief does not meet being, and the aim forward loses its bout. To makeup – a compassion to be had, a forgiveness to be given.
An Upset For The Ages
A Life Saving Amount of Money. The lengths we would go, the distance to be had. How much can there really be to save, what does it take to earn?
Can He Still Fight After Everything He’s Been Through? To endure beyond sufferings, the making of good, when done in good, is unbeknownst to many.
It Is What It Is, Until It Isn’t. When friction usurps peace, by the rising of conscious assumptions and pending contentions.
“I’m not going to say that, how many times do I have to rewrite my boundaries.”
That’s An Inside Job. What rivals on the outside comes from within. Hits that come by way of your own making.
Look What You Do To Me. Look at how we treat each other.
I’m Not Letting Go. Neither should you. Take ahold of something more, for the good of yourself and for the many.
All His Hopes and Dreams Come Crashing Down. Crashes come as soon as they flee. Built up for far too long and lasting as long as allowed and unwanted.
Go Bring It Home. To possess the will that far exceeds, abiding in the will that ushers a peace.
His Name is MARK KERR. A pioneer. A man. A fighter. A father. A son.
To The Believer
There was a power in the fall. The sight of two beings, who, to a degree of innocence, did that which only allured their perceptions and drew their hearts to more. Yet, ever so whole-fully was the knowing of what was forbidden and the protection that came by way of obedience. In the time that followed, an entanglement emerged that perpetuated itself among men and women, and then between fathers and mothers, to their daughters and sons. Ever so crucially must we remember what we come from.
For no one is to blame, yet we are entirely responsible; men, surely you are to know of what you are called and who calls to you. A bruise to our heel, yet us, a bruising to their head. Is it so much worth the possession of mammon that you forsake every sense or direction and good? The nature of our being, to work and keep, not to latch on to the desires of our eyes and the pride of our hearts.
Certainly there are callings to follow, but that which is upright should not be forsaken in its pursuit, in aim to please only the self. It is on us we hold such wantings, and equally so are we responsible for surmounting. This can be done. The turning of a vice to an efforted good that comes by way of understanding. A surrender to what you cling to and a sensing of a peace that awaits. Discerning that the best feeling in the world is not of the world.
How are we not to mourn for those caught at the waging enmity perpetuated throughout time? Assuredly I do. I plea for you to examine, ask of yourself – what lies on the other end of this great high that I long to know? A crashing down of many things, where upset lives and life does not stand.
“Flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not retain his strength, nor shall the mighty save his life; he who handles the bow shall not stand, and he who is swift of foot shall not save himself, nor shall he who rides the horse save his life….”
Amos 2:14-15
